What happens when you integrate your ATS with Give a Grad a Go?

Your jobs will automatically feed through to your customer portal with the Give a Grad a Go platform, where you’ll be able to post jobs onto our graduate job board.
Candidate applications will then feed through from Give a Grad a Go into the respective jobs within your ATS, for you to be able to handle candidate application management all in one place, for speed & ease.
When your job data is edited within your ATS, it will automatically be updated on the Give a Grad a Go website too, so that your job information is consistently up-to-date.
And, when you change a candidate’s application status to ‘reject/unsuccessful’ within your ATS, this will show as ‘unsuccessful’ within the candidate’s dashboard in Give a Grad a Go, allowing candidates to check for updates without needing to contact you directly.

The Give a Grad a Go offering benefits employers looking to fill roles that require certain skillsets or a high calibre of candidates, at an affordable price. You can also create a company page to bring in more candidates & increase brand exposure to a vast graduate audience.

Here’s how to get started…

How to connect your ATS

1. Create a profile

If you haven’t already, make sure you create a company profile.

Follow the steps to create an account, purchase job credits or get in touch for bespoke package options.

2. Navigate to ‘ATS integration’ in left menu

3. Click ‘Connect’ on the relevant ATS

If you’re ATS is listed, click ‘connect’.

You’ll then be required to either login to your ATS account to connect or enter some code/ details which can be found within your ATS platform.

This might be REST API endpoint, API key and/or a company ID. There will be different instructions for the respective ATS.

4. Authorise the app

You’ll also be asked to authorise the app, please click ‘accept’.

5. Your jobs will start syncing

Now you’re connected you’ll first see a ‘sync pending’ screen – this can take a few hours so please be patient.

Once this is complete, your jobs will start syncing. Any changes you then make to your jobs within your ATS, our systems can take up to 4 hours to detect these changes and sync them.

Use the ‘Request manual sync’ button, to trigger a quicker, 10-minute sync of your ATS data, speeding this process up in-between the scheduled syncs.

How to post your jobs

1. Navigate to your job drafts

Once your ATS is synced, your roles will then show under ‘Your jobs’ as drafts within the Give a Grad a Go portal*. There are some required fields you’ll need to complete which won’t be sent through from your ATS. So, click the edit button on the right of the job and complete the rest of the required fields.

*Syncs every 4 hours as standard, if the job still isn’t showing in ‘Your jobs’, then head to the ‘ATS integration’ tab and click the ‘request manual sync’ button to speed this process up.

2. Complete required fields

Once required fields are complete, click ‘save & view preview’. The more details provided here, the better your job will perform on the job board (more applications).

3. Preview job

Check you’re happy with how the job looks in the Give a Grad a Go portal, and click ‘Next’.

4. Submit job for approval

You’ll have the opportunity here to top up job credits if needed, and then ‘Post job’ which will submit the role for approval.

5. Check back in ‘Your jobs’

Now, with approval requested, the job will be live on the site after it has been checked by Give a Grad a Go for grammar and spelling, and after the SEO team has optimised it.

Once it’s live it will sit within your ‘Active’ jobs tab within the Give a Grad a Go portal.

Applications will start to feed through to your ATS. And, when you change a candidate’s application status to ‘reject/unsuccessful’ within your ATS, this will show as ‘unsuccessful’ within the candidate’s dashboard in Give a Grad a Go, allowing candidates to check for updates without needing to contact you directly.

6. Disconnect at any time

Should you wish to, simply click the disconnect button to remove the integration. Please note, this will also disconnect all applications from your jobs.

You may need to also disable the integration within your respective ATS platform.
