What is outplacement support?

Employee outplacement definition: A positive action that employers can implement to navigate downsizing. Using a third-party provider to help employees being laid off or being made redundant by ensuring they have the best chance of securing a new role elsewhere.

Not only is it a kind service to offer to employees you’re letting go, but it also sends a positive message to existing employees, future employees and the wider market that you’re a caring and responsible employer, willing to go the extra mile to protect its employees.

Protect and enhance your EVP.

Questions about outplacement services UK

  • Outplacement assistance is a service offered by career outplacement companies to support businesses and talent teams in the event of employee layoffs. It involves providing CV, interview, career and other support to outgoing employees to help them in getting re-employed during these difficult events.

  • Typically, outplacement services, London and UK-wide, tend to start at around £500 per employee, sometimes exceeding £10,000 per employee.

We offer free outplacement services and redundancy support for any candidates who were placed in your company by us. We’ve placed an array of fantastic candidates across the UK and around the globe and want to ensure our candidates continue to get the support they need.

For candidates not placed by us, we charge a reduced rate of £200 – £250 per employee, depending on the volume of people who require this service. If we then go on to place the candidate into another business, this cost will be used as credit for your next hire through us.

  • Not only will redundancies impact the employees you are letting go, but they will also impact the employees who are staying. That’s why outplacement support services help to provide direction and counselling for those you’ve had to let go, whilst reinforcing to existing employees the value, respect and appreciation you have for your people.

Job outplacement companies also help to relieve some of the pressure for HR departments, which might be stretched due to looking after the people who are staying in the business, or may even have been reduced as part of the redundancy cycle.

  • We started our employee outplacement programmes during the 2020 pandemic, because we’ve placed thousands of amazing candidates worldwide, and we want to ensure we continue to help our candidates in times of need.

With our excellent outplacement training combined with our experience in the graduate recruitment market, we are able to offer an industry-standard service at a significantly reduced cost in comparison to other top outplacement companies.

Following outplacement best practices, we will continue to improve and evolve our programmes so that we can offer the best outplacement services in London.
