Embracing diversity and inclusion: Celebrating Pride Month at Give a Grad a Go

Copied to clipboard

At Give a Grad a Go, we’re committed to creating a culture that welcomes and embraces everyone from all backgrounds.

One of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to workplace D&I is by celebrating Pride Month!

As we celebrate LGBTQ+ pride each year, we’re reminded that diversity is not just a buzzword, but an essential part of thriving and innovative workplaces.

This year, we made sure to take some action to display our support for LGBTQ+ communities.

Celebrating Pride

Pride Month commemorates and celebrates LGBTQ+ activism and culture through the years.

It stands as a symbol of resilience, hope, and unity, highlighting the ongoing struggles and victories of the LGBTQ+ community.

It is much more than changing company logos to rainbows and wearing colourful clothing in the workplace.

Raising awareness is one thing, but Pride is also about fighting the discrimination that individuals continue to face.

This year we wanted to engage, take action, and support reputable LGBTQ+ charities that work tirelessly to provide support to the LGBTQ+ community!

Fundraising for Pride charities

In June, the team at Give a Grad a Go took part in a variety of fundraising initiatives.

We held a bake sale, participated in an eight-hour litter pick along Regent’s Canal, hosted a work bingo, ran an in-office treasure hunt, and led a baby photo quiz, collectively raising £610 for Stonewall, London Friend, MindOut, and LGBT Foundation.

All donations have gone directly to these charities, and we hope that our support can contribute to making a real difference to the lives of individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.

Thank you to those who have donated 😀
