In this Temporary Finance & Administration Assistant role, you will provide essential support across finance, administration, HR, and project-related activities. Working closely with the finance, sales, and delivery teams, you will help ensure finance processes run efficiently while supporting a range of wider business functions.
This is a varied and hands-on position, offering exposure to multiple areas of the business. The role would suit an organised and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working independently, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a positive team environment.
The position is offered on a temporary basis with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.

Key responsibilities - Temporary Finance & Administration Assistant
In this Temporary Finance & Administration Assistant role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing weekly sales invoices and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained
  • Supporting monthly subscription billing activities
  • Monitoring customer accounts and managing credit control processes, including chasing outstanding payments
  • Responding to and resolving finance-related queries from customers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting Accounts Payable activities, including processing purchase invoices
  • Matching invoices against approvals and ensuring appropriate authorisation procedures are followed
  • Assisting with reconciliations, month-end activities, and general finance administration tasks
  • Providing administrative support to project management, HR, and other business functions as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation across finance and administrative processes
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of business operations
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required
Job requirements - Temporary Finance & Administration Assistant
Previous experience within a finance and business administration role is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
  • Good understanding of core finance processes, including invoicing, credit control, and purchase invoice management
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
  • Adaptable and able to learn new business systems and applications quickly
Desirable:
  • Experience using finance systems
  • AAT qualification or studying towards a finance qualification
  • Previous experience supporting HR, project administration, or wider business operations
