Movember charity fundraising at Give a Grad a Go! 👨🏻‍🦰

We’re MO-mentously proud to announce that the Give a Grad a Go team took part in Movember this year!

Our team raised £340 by fundraising through ‘Grow A Mo’ & ‘Move for Movember’! Give a Grad a Go matched the amount raised totalling our final donation to £680 surpassing our £500 target!

Some staff opted for the traditional moustache-growing method, for those who are able to grow more than a bit of peach fuzz below their nose. The rest of the team raised money through a collective run, walk, or cycle in which we beat our goal of 600km with a team result of 622km! In addition, we held a charity raffle for a chance to win a prosecco brunch, which one of our team leaders won.

Why we chose to support Movember this year

On average, men die five years earlier than women. A growing number of men – around 10.8M internationally – are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Worldwide, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men. And across the globe, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day, with males accounting for 75% of all suicides.

Men’s health is a growing problem that demands out-of-the-box thinking, which is why Give A Grad A Go took on the challenge of raising funds for Movember.
