Job description – Software EngineerIn this entry-level role, Software Engineers are responsible for building, developing, launching and maintaining systems, applications and platforms.
You will be involved in all aspects of IT professionalism, in the standards and quality processes required to deliver outcomes to customers and obtain the recognition of your achievement.
On joining, will enjoy a period of initial training for your first project which may be for any one of a number of customers, or focused on in-house product development.
When you join a project, you will continue to train and develop your skills in the relevant technologies after which time is made for general training ready to move to your next project to ensure variety in your first few years. There is the opportunity for rapid progress in terms of team and project management, design methodologies and technical skills.
Key responsibilities - Software Engineer - Building up your skills in programming, testing, cloud / data administration & project management.
- Working in a professional environment to carry out tasks assigned to you by your project manager.
- Developing your skills within the SFIA+ framework and in all aspects of the project so that you:
- Have the confidence and competence to work with reducing supervision and to potentially take over a leadership role.
- Develop your design skills.
- Taking on guidance of colleagues and collaborating on task.
- Gaining an understanding of professional methodologies, standards and quality principles that allow a team to work together to deliver a great outcome on time.
- Progression will be based on performance and including the SFIA+ framework.
