Job description - Securities Analyst
In this Securities Analyst position, you will be supporting the wider Repo and Securities Lending Operations department with traditional middle and back-office functionality, from settlements and collateral management to fees/billing and reconciliations.
Key responsibilities - Securities Analyst
In this Securities Analyst role, you will be:
- Monitoring and operating end-to-end securities financing, including (but not limited to) downloading reports from applications such as Business Objects, and overseeing manual custodial transfers between the firm and other third parties.
- Perform daily reconciliation of collateral reports.
- Assisting in the administration of repo and securities lending transactions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Calculating, agreeing, and processing payments pertaining to the repo settlement activity of the business.
- Ensuring all trades are settled in accordance with timelines.
- Updating Global One static for FX rate and securities pricing using Bloomberg Requests to ensure accurate static maintenance for further Repo Securities Lending Operations activities.
For this Securities Analyst role, you will need:
- A minimum of a 2:1 from a top university, ideally in Economics, Finance, or a related subject.
- An analytical approach and a problem-solving attitude.
- Knowledge of securities and lending is a bonus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to difficult workload demands, e.g., time/resource constraints.
