In this Sales job in London, you'll be joining a leading British heritage company specialising in luxury textiles and wallpapers for the interiors industry worldwide.
Established in 1874, this fifth-generation family firm proudly designs and produces timeless luxury fabrics, wallpapers and tapestries for high-profile global clients across high-end residential, hotels, restaurants, chateaus, and entertainment.
Their warm, luxurious showroom in Chelsea is hugely successful and busy with high-profile client activity. They are now looking to grow their hardworking team with the addition of a Junior Sales Consultant.
 
Job description – Business Development Executive
In this Junior Sales opportunity in London, you will be working closely with the Senior Consultants, gaining insight into business development and sales. You will take on a range of tasks to boost sales activity and drive revenue - retaining strong nurtured relationships with new and existing customers, and scouting opportunities to win new clients and secure new projects through lead generation. 
 
Key responsibilities – Sales Executive
In this Sales Executive graduate vacancy, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting research into prospective clients, and generating new qualified leads.
  • Managing the database of existing and previous clients, maintaining relationships and driving new business opportunities with contacts already on the database.
  • Being a first point of contact for inbound business enquiries and new leads, nurturing the initial relationship building to drive sales.
  • Working to convert leads into signed off projects through discovery & pitching.
  • Supporting the sales team with the management of new & existing client accounts. 
  • Managing the database of existing clients and end-users, proactively reaching out to gather their feedback
  • Proactively reach out to new prospects through targeted emails and cold calls. 
  • Expanding accounts by reaching out to partner businesses.
  • Answering inbound client enquiries. 
  • Ensuring the CRM database is up to date.
  • Undertaking industry and trend research to generate new leads.
  • Keeping up-to-date with new product, environmental, technical & installation information.
  • Providing daily ad hoc support to the Sales Team. 
 
Job requirements – Business Development Manager
  • Experience in a transferrable role - sales, customer service, account management etc.
  • Experience in sales within the luxury or interiors sectors is highly beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of business relationships and clientele in luxury.
  • A clear drive for sales and being in a new business-focused position.
  • Natural communicator, with skills & ability to engage with different clients and build strong relationships.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and can spot inconsistencies or errors.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Ambitious, driven to succeed and wants to grow with the company.
  • Fantastic organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams at once.
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Excellent starting salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
