Job description - Market Research Associate In this Research Associate role, we are seeking an associate to work with a team to provide support for international market research projects.
This role is primarily centred around an ongoing research study in the cards and payments space, however it is part of a larger career path that involves working on other parallel engagements with clients. You will acquire knowledge of and insight into the latest developments in banking and retail automation, cards and payments plus a wide range of research and strategy consulting skills.
Key responsibilities - Research Analyst In this Research Associate role, your responsibilities will involve: - Overseeing the work of research assistants who are collecting detailed information from issuer websites around the world and recording it in Excel
- Providing guidance to and answering questions from research assistants on how information should be recorded
- Carrying out quality control processes to ensure client readiness of deliverables
- Consulting with internal stakeholders to resolve complex research queries
- Contribute to product development initiatives and other client deliverables
- Other ad hoc research, client engagement and administrative tasks
Job requirements - Market Research Associate - 2:1 or above at university
- 1+ year’s experience (research based experience is a real plus!)
- Familiarity with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Good numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and abstract reasoning
- Ability to understand, follow and create guidance according to established principles
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Ability and willingness to search for information which is not readily available
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
Benefits of the job - Research Associate - A starting salary of £28,000 - £36,000, depending on experience.
