Job description - Operations Assistant
In this grad role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of corporate clients within the Lloyd's insurance market.
You'll join a highly experienced team that supports all aspects of client administration - from banking and compliance to tax returns, data reconciliation and financial reporting. To perform in this role, you must be a confident Excel user, having used VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables in a professional capacity.
You'll gain exposure to a broad range of financial operations while developing in-depth knowledge of the Lloyd's insurance structure and the wider financial services ecosystem.
Key responsibilities - Graduate Client Services Executive
- Assist with regular reconciliation of banking records and daily banking operations.
- Help manage the annual bulk settlement of Lloyd's Limited Vehicle (LLV) expenses.
- Update and maintain internal systems - tracking loans, reserves and third-party transactions.
- Collate and dispatch high-volume client mailings accurately and on time.
- Assist in the annual collection of client fees and monitor outstanding balances.
- Contribute to the preparation of year-end client result statements and financial data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and Lloyd's reporting deadlines.
- Participate in key internal and external working groups and projects as directed by senior management.
What we're looking for - Operations Assistant
- A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a numerate, business or finance-related subject.
- Confident Excel user - Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs are a must
- Strong interest in finance, insurance, or legal administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Confident communicator who enjoys working in a team and building professional relationships.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills.
- Comfortable working with large sets of data and learning new systems.
