Job description - Account Executive
In this Sales Support job at Verizon Business, you will work closely with the senior team to ensure that global accounts are maximised and well looked after. This role is designed to allow junior candidates to learn everything there is to know about enterprise technology account management, allowing them to progress their careers and become tech sales professionals.
Day to day, your role will involve working collaboratively with the team on managing prestigious multimillion-pound accounts and projects, maintaining accurate client data, attending client meetings, supporting with a range of sales operations activities, and supporting senior team members in the successful delivery of their client projects.
Working with some of the largest businesses globally as your clients, you will need to have a keen drive for sales, an interest in technology as well as the ability to build and maintain great relationships and manage operational and reporting duties.
Key responsibilities - Junior Account Manager
- Working in a 1:1 partnership with senior members of the Verizon sales teams.
- Contributing to building and managing in-depth relationships with Verizon's enterprise clients.
- Joining and contributing to client meetings.
- Managing a range of sales support responsibilities, including client reporting, quotes, and maintaining accurate data
- Conducting research into market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on Salesforce to manage the sales pipeline, quote and order entry, drive customer communication and enable activity reporting.
- Working with the team to ensure sales targets are met.
- Keeping project timelines on track by completing vital administrative tasks.
- Supporting the sales team in developing detailed account plans to establish forecasts of anticipated revenue.
- Appointing customer meetings in line with agreed activity targets.
- As your experience in the role develops, you will develop sales skills, commercial awareness, and begin to independently manage projects, as directed by your Line Manager.
- A clear and genuine drive for account management in sales - you will be excited about launching your career in a client-facing role in tech.
- Experience in a client-facing role or commercial exposure to technology is highly advantageous (but not necessary).
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a large, complex global account team.
- Exceptionally confident and engaging communication skills and customer focus, with the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the client's needs.
- Incredibly organised and thorough, with strong administrative skills and a high attention to detail.
- Competent with MS Office, particularly Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce or other comparable CRM applications is beneficial.
- The ability to manage multiple client projects at once.
- The ability to construct and deliver effective presentations both internally and externally.
- The desire to drive solution-related discussions with clients.

- A base salary of £28,000 with an additional individual performance bonus.
