Job description - IT Security Consultant
In this Information Security Consultant role in London, the successful candidate will support the delivery of premium regulatory and AML compliance consultancy services to their clients. If you have at least a foundational knowledge of IT governance and security and wish to learn more, have excellent proficiency in written English, and an analytical mind, then we encourage you to apply.
We are seeking a full-time Junior Consultant to specialise in IT risk management. Supported by a senior consultant, the role will involve engaging with clients via video calls and email, collecting and analysing data about their IT function, systems, and technical controls. You will then assist in gap analysis against common law and standards such as data protection law and ISO27001, and mandates specific to the financial services industry, such as EBA guidelines and FCA approach and policy.
Key responsibilities - IT Security Analyst
In this IT Consultant job in London, you'll be involved in:
- Assist with drafting policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Conduct regulatory research.
- Simultaneously monitor and support multiple projects.
- Manage client ICT governance Q&A process.
- Perform initial assessments of client Q&A's, audits, and assessments while keeping meticulous records and paying attention to detail and accuracy.
Job requirements - Information Security Analyst
- A 2:1 or above from university (Business, Law, Risk Management or Computing-related degrees preferred but not required).
- Some commercial experience within IT, Compliance, Governance, Cyber Security or related fields (with some stakeholder or client-facing experience preferred).
- Foundational understanding of IT Governance and Security.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Be able to absorb detailed information quickly and effectively.
- Have a people focus and be able to work effectively and confidently with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Be independent and resilient, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Desirable - Project Management experience.
- Desirable - Policy drafting experience.
- Desirable - ISO27001 experience.
