Kick-Start Your Career with MOL – Graduate Programme 2024

Shape the Future of Global Energy Shipping

Are you a recent graduate ready to make an impact in the fast-moving world of energy and shipping? Join MOL’s Graduate Trainee Programme and gain first-hand experience with one of the world's leading maritime and logistics companies.

This is your chance to work on meaningful projects that support the global transition to cleaner energy, explore different parts of our Energy business, and build the foundations of a successful, long-term career.

About the programme - Energy Shipping Trainee

Our Graduate Programme offers a structured placement lasting up to three years, with the opportunity to rotate across several key business areas. The exact duration and structure will be tailored to provide the best development experience for each trainee, ensuring well-rounded exposure to our Energy division. You’ll gain exposure to the full energy shipping lifecycle — from transport and infrastructure to technical operations and decarbonisation initiatives.

Working alongside industry specialists, you’ll develop your skills through hands-on learning, tailored training, and mentoring support - all within a global, forward-thinking company that values your growth.

What you’ll be doing - Shipping Trainee

As a Graduate Trainee, you’ll:

  • Support day-to-day operations within each department.
  • Work closely with Department Heads and Line Managers to build relevant, practical experience.
  • Attend internal and external training to boost your knowledge and confidence.
  • Apply what you learn to real-world business challenges.
  • Learn how to use industry-standard systems and tools.
  • Gain a broad understanding of the Energy sector through rotations in areas such as:
    • Energy Transport – managing the movement of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other energy sources across global routes.
    • Technical Division – ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of vessels across the fleet.
    • Gas Infrastructure – supporting key infrastructure developments, including floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs).
    • New Energy and Decarbonisation – exploring innovative solutions that reduce emissions and support the transition to a low-carbon future.

You may also have the opportunity to travel to other locations as part of your development.
