Job description - Graduate Developer
In this Junior Developer job, you will be reporting directly to the CTO (Ex Senior Manager for the Sensors, Actuators and Displays team at Dyson), supporting the wider operations team with product implementation and activation. You will also have the opportunity to get hands-on experience as a developer, working with two of the organisation's most experienced Developers. There is exceptional potential for career growth within a rapidly scaling and truly innovative company.
 
Key responsibilities - Junior Developer
In this Graduate Developer opportunity in London, your responsibilities will include:

• Taking charge of product implementation, ensuring the patented software and product are installed correctly.
• Leading the charge in all things product configuration, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Collecting project feedback, sharing this feedback with the wider team and using this to optimise future processes
• Collaborating closely with the Chief Technology Officer and software team to contribute to the development and maintenance of our systems.
• Acting as a point of contact for on-site fitter teams, offering guidance and updating internal systems based on real-time feedback.
• Assisting with ongoing software development tasks while progressively building the skills necessary to work independently on our event-driven backend infrastructure in AWS.
• Supporting cross-functional communication between the software and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• As well as a whole host of other business-critical functions found within a start-up.

 
Job requirements - Sustainability Tech Developer
For this Sustainability Tech Developer job, we are looking for:

• A Computer Science degree from a top 10 university.
• Confidence writing Typescript; you will be able to reference several projects using Typescript.
• Ideally, some form of commercial experience where you have been able to make use of your technical skills.
• Superb numerical and analytical skills. And the ability to work in a highly detail-oriented manner.
• A genuine interest in sustainability and the company's mission.
• A confident communicator – you can speak to a wide range of clients with confidence.
