Job description - Finance Apprenticeship
In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of corporate clients within the Lloyd's insurance market. You'll join a highly experienced team that supports all aspects of client administration - from banking and compliance to tax returns, data reconciliation and financial reporting. To perform in this role, you must be keen to break into Finance and be actively looking to pursue the AAT. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of financial operations whilst securing your formal AAT qualification.
Key responsibilities - Finance Apprenticeship
In this Finance Apprentice job, your responsibilities will include:
- Collate and disperse purchase invoices for approval and coding
- Posting invoices to Sage/Paperless
- Assisting with the preparation of pre-payments and accruals
- Timely and accurate processing of supplier's invoices
- Assisting with payment runs, uploading payments for management approval
- Dealing with suppliers
- Assisting with the provision of ad-hoc reports as and when required, processing of employee expenses and processing intercompany recharges on to ledgers
- Assisting with producing sales invoices, bank payments and reconciliations and any ad-hoc financial project
For this Finance Apprentice role, the ideal candidate will have:
- At least a B in A level Maths and a 5 and above in Maths GCSE
- Ideally you're an Excel user - although a willingness to learn is enough!
- The ability to drive/ have access to a car due to office location
- Strong interest in finance and a desire to secure the AAT
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Confident communicator who enjoys working in a team and building professional relationships.
- Highly organised with strong time management skills.
- £24000 - £26,000 competitive starting salary.
