Job description - Edinburgh Fringe Street Team

We’re looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and comedy-loving people to join our Edinburgh Fringe Street Team and help promote this year’s exciting lineup of shows. As part of our dedicated Edinburgh Street-Team, you will be invited to attend show previews throughout the UK, meet the acts and permanent Avalon team before hitting the festival to promote this year’s exciting new shows.

If you’re passionate about comedy, are great at talking to people, and keen to experience Fringe shows with hand-to-hand marketing, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to get noticed and considered for future roles within the company.

Please note there are two different contracts: full-time (averages to 8 hours a day) and reduced hours (averages to 5 hours a day). Please state which position you are applying for in your cover letter.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about comedy and live entertainment.
• Personable, engaging, confident in speaking to people, and has excellent presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic, resilient, hardworking team player.
• Excited by the prospect of being involved in the Edinburgh Fringe and promoting some amazing shows.

Terms of employment

• Edinburgh Fringe 27 July – 25 August 2025.
• £13.69/hour.
• Travel to and from Edinburgh will be covered by Avalon.
• One day off per week from the second week.
• Daily hours vary. Ideally, candidates will also attend some previews in advance of travelling to Edinburgh.

2.      Describe a time when you’ve successfully persuaded someone to try or attend something new. How did you do it? (no more than 100 words).
