Job description - Conference Producer
As a Conference Producer, you will be a key part of the organisation and execution of exciting, high-profile events across a range of vital industries such as insurance and tech. Through both desk research (reading relevant trade press and newspapers) as well as telephone research with industry specialists, you will acquire sufficient knowledge and expertise to write a conference programme that identifies and highlights the commercial issues in your sector.
 
You will then invite and convince senior-level speakers to address the topics that you have identified as important. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your research, analysis, communication and persuasion skills, as well as giving you an in-depth understanding of the industry sectors you are working in and the issues that are affecting markets and individual companies.
 
Key responsibilities - Events Producer
In this Conference Producer job, your responsibilities will include:
  • Researching and analysing industries to identify commercial drivers.
  • Writing creative conference agendas that attract top speakers.
  • Identifying and inviting leading industry executives.
  • Building relationships and industry knowledge for the long-term development of conferences.
  • Project management: working with and briefing internal teams and clients.
 
  Job requirements - Conference Manager
  • A 2.1 degree from university.
  • Proven analytical ability.
  • The ability to work independently and to communicate well with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication.
  • Someone who is well-presented, confident and enthusiastic.
