In this Community Engagement Manager role, you'll be joining an innovative non-profit driving greater inclusion and opportunity for underrepresented talent in the UK. Since launching, the organisation has delivered 10,000+ paid internships across 35 sectors through partnerships with over 1,000 employers. 
 
With a focus on long-term change, they provide internships, training, alumni networks, and employer support programmes. As the team grows, they're looking for a proactive professional to lead engagement across candidates, interns, and alumni. 
 
Job Description - Community Engagement Manager 
As Community Engagement Manager, you'll lead efforts to engage, connect, and support their community of applicants, interns, and alumni. This people-focused, multi-functional role is perfect for someone who excels at building relationships, delivering events, and boosting programme participation. 
 
You'll collaborate with various teams to create impactful engagement across universities, digital platforms, and in-person events. 
 
Key Responsibilities - Community Engagement Manager 
  • Build and manage relationships with university careers services, student societies, and community partners to boost brand visibility and candidate applications. 
  • Plan and deliver engaging presentations (online and in-person) across UK universities to promote opportunities and grow the community. 
  • Coordinate with partners, corporate members, and vendors to support candidate and intern-facing initiatives. 
  • Manage and engage alumni, trainers, and guest speakers for the company's annual training programme.
  • Design and oversee a yearly calendar of alumni events, including networking sessions, workshops, and social meetups. 
  • Manage communications and relationships with key partners, alumni, and event contributors. 
  • Track alumni engagement and collect feedback to enhance programming and event planning. 
  • Collaborate with the Comms team to produce newsletters and drive digital engagement, while supporting event logistics and community coordination.
 
Job Requirements - Community Engagement Manager 
  • Ideally, 18+ months in a client-facing, account management, or early/campus talent-related experience. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations. 
  • Confident in managing online meetings and webinars. 
  • Passion for and understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail. 
  • Collaborative team player with fresh ideas and a proactive mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus. 
  • Some experience with social media and community engagement is desirable.
