Key responsibilities - Graduate Bid Writer
- Support the preparation and submission of high-quality written proposals, tender responses, PQQs, and framework applications in line with client requirements and internal governance.
- Review tender documents and identify deliverables, working with relevant stakeholders to gather the required information.
- Maintain and update a central bid content library and ensure version control of core documentation.
- Assist in scheduling bid activity, ensuring adherence to timelines, formatting, and compliance standards.
- Proofread and edit written content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the bid strategy and tone of voice.
- Liaise with operational, commercial, and technical teams to extract key content and ensure proposals reflect current business capabilities.
- Track and monitor bid progress using bid management software or spreadsheets, escalating issues where necessary.
- Support bid team meetings, take minutes, and coordinate the collation of input from different contributors.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier registrations and portals (e.g., Proactis, Delta, Jaggaer).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of bid writing processes and templates, sharing learning and improvements after bid outcomes.
Job requirements - Graduate Bid Writer
- A-levels or equivalent as a minimum; a degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field is desirable.
- Strong written English skills, including grammar, punctuation, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with InDesign is advantageous.
- Understanding of procurement processes, including public sector tenders, frameworks, and portal
