Job description - .NET developer
In this .NET developer job, you will be primarily focused on development projects to support the business. They primarily use ASP.Net, so you will work with this code.
 
You will also be expected to manage the IT Support for a small team, though this won’t be the majority of your day. You’ll manage desktop and hardware support for 16 people. 
 
The split of the role will be 25% desktop support and 75% .NET development. However, desktop support will need to be the priority when an issue arises, so you will need to be able too juggle responsibilities.  
 
Key responsibilities - .NET developer
In this .NET developer job in London, your responsibilities will include:
 
 Development & automation with .NET
  • Assist in maintaining or enhancing internal ASP.NET apps.
  • Create User Interfaces in HTML/NET.
Desktop support
  • Providing 1st and 2nd line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshooting Windows OS, Office 365, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
  • Configuring and deploying new machines, patching systems, and managing inventory.
  • Managing user accounts via Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Supporting end-user applications and escalating issues when needed.
 
Job requirements - .NET developer
  • A degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Commercial experience engineering with .NET is essential
  • Commercial experience in a .NET developer, software engineer, or desktop support role
  • Some commercial experience with desktop support, this could be within an engineer or developer role
  • Clear evidence of coding and development skills through work or projects
  • Proficient with Windows 10/11, Office 365, and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and automation scripting.
  • Good to have SQL knowledge.
  • Knowledge of programming concepts.
