Job description – Senior Data Analyst (Remote)
In this Senior Business Analyst position within HealthTech, they are seeking a creative and inquisitive analyst to help uncover opportunities and trends in hospital spending data, to drive and develop insights for their 130+ NHS customers.  
 
Here you will engage with their customers, proactively sharing new opportunities and providing them with new views of their data, helping to promote the company service/offering.
 
We are looking for someone who can mentor more junior team members, provide direction, take a lead role in producing reports and help improve our outputs.  
 
To be successful in this role you need to be curious, and analytical and thrive off working out what is required to deliver an output that will help the NHS to save money. It requires someone confident, motivated by data, enjoys solving problems and is invested in helping the NHS.

Key responsibilities – Senior Data Analyst (Remote)
In this Remote Senior Business Analyst job, your responsibilities will include:  
 
Data analytics and core insights output
  • Develop bespoke analytics reports and define the narrative behind the analysis.
  • Develop new tools and techniques to improve the service/offering.
  • Identify potential developments within our tools to support a wider audience depending on customer request.
  • Work with the engineering team to better understand and analyse data and improve our applications.
 
Insight development
  • Take ownership to improve category areas, cleanse data and drive new insight.
  • Lead the development of new areas of analysis and work with other teams to bring this into our toolsets.
  • Be seen as a subject matter expert in category and/or competency and/or sector area.
  • (In time) manage 1-2 Analysts.
 
Customer engagement and relationship management
  • Proactively work with customers to help reveal insight, drive customer value and generate business revenue.
  • Organise and run customer meetings to understand requirements and feedback around outputs.
  • Present outputs to customers and take a lead role during customer review meetings.
  • Proactively engage with key individuals (customers), identifying risk factors and ways of mitigating these.
 
Job requirements – Senior Data Analyst (Remote)
For this Senior Insight Analyst job, we are looking for:
  • A degree from university (STEM degrees are a plus) or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Senior Analyst role with a good understanding of data and have worked with large, complex data sets.
  • Experience in creating analysis/outputs for customers/clients and can confidently present these.
  • People management experience; can lead and inspire more junior analysts.
  • Excellent customer/client engagement and relationship management/communication skills.
  • Be proficient in using Excel (Google Sheets) - formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups.
  • Curious, proactive, and a consulting mindset.
  • Able to work independently and or with remote/distributed teams.
  • Always willing to learn and to try out new ways of working or thinking from others.
  • Thrive on working at pace, valuing and delivering high-quality work.
