Job description – Sales Development Representative
In this Sales Executive position in Birmingham, you will be responsible for contacting prospective clients to schedule initial meetings for the Business Development Manager to create new sales opportunities and build a healthy pipeline.
Building and retaining the pipeline will include activity through follow-up communication with potential customers and prospects while maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads.
You will be generating productive daily campaigns and other tasks to increase contacts and new business to increase the number of scheduled meetings being booked. You will also be responsible for leveraging a variety of tools to develop interactions with potential clients.
This role DOES NOT include cold calling or constant phone bashing however it is super important that you are confident on the phone and eager to manage warm accounts as well as retaining good relationships with all your clients.

In this Account Executive role in Birmingham, your responsibilities will include:
- Leveraging a variety of tools to develop interactions with potential clients.
- Achieving and exceeding weekly/monthly metrics including active engagement over the phone and scheduling meetings.
- Assisting the BDM in running educational pieces to nurture leads at the top of the funnel resulting in quality booked consultation demos.
- Developing and mastering consultative selling techniques creating a great first impression on their prospects by providing them with a first-class experience.
- Developing knowledge of the membership and associated services/ products, value proposition for setting the tone for the ongoing relationship their members experience.
- Pipeline management through potential lead generation and quality control and sourcing new leads from their database to build healthy pipelines.
- Ensuring leads are followed up in a proactive and timely manner using CRM and managing the follow-up leads, recording information and updates as it is gathered.
- Supporting the sales team to provide data for reports as required.
- Supporting the sales team in identifying new products and knowing what competitors are doing in the market.
- Building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs.
- Representing the company at trade shows, exhibitions and conferences.
- Supporting internal teams with feedback and collaboration to ensure the best possible member experience.
- A minimum of a 2.1 from a top university.
- Able to demonstrate a fantastic positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage your own time effectively.
- Fantastic organizational skills.
- Actively seeks and delivers feedback in a timely and constructive. manner.
- Self-motivated and results-orientated.
- Embody the company’s values at all points in time and support new initiatives across the business.
- Knowledge of HubSport is desirable.
- Able to be independent as well as a team player and work with little supervision.
