Job description - Recruitment Consultant As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for all stages of the recruitment life-cycle, from winning new business to providing vetted candidate shortlists, managing the interview and offer process, and fostering long-term client relationships. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, helping early-career professionals find their footing, and developing key sales and consulting skills.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with CEOs and senior executives within exciting multinationals, start-ups and innovative SMEs, advising them on hiring strategies, early-career talent acquisition, and recruitment trends. This role is not sector-specific, meaning you will gain exposure to a diverse range of industries and job functions, constantly learning about new markets and skill sets.

Key responsibilities - Graduate Recruitment Consultant In this Recruitment Consultant job, your responsibilities will include: - Contacting candidates via phone, video, and e-mail - introducing them to our services and explaining how the recruitment process works as well as conducting catch-up calls with existing candidates to ensure they are kept in the loop with new job roles they may have missed ( we receive 20,000 applications a month so we’re not short of people to chat to!)
- Attending client meetings to understand job briefs and create project plans
- Writing job descriptions and working with the marketing team to ensure they are advertised and reach the right candidate audience
- Sourcing suitable candidates (via the database, applications. LinkedIn and other job boards) and having in-depth discussions with candidates to understand their career aspirations, as well as discussing their suitability for roles and sectors.
- Managing your candidate applications and ensuring all candidates receive responses to their application
- Managing the offer process and negotiating with candidates and clients as well as keeping track of invoice payments
- Maximising your client accounts with top account management - including contacting your clients regularly to add value and share market insights, gaining external and internal referrals and checking in on your placed candidates to ensure a seamless aftercare service (to name a few examples!)
- Working to daily, monthly and quarterly revenue / KPI targets and ensuring you are delivering on project deadlines.
- Ensuring all CRM administration is up to date daily - our top revenue generators are both great communicators and exceptionally organised
- Identifying and researching new business prospects and creating new strategies to source leads and engage new clients
- Becoming an expert in your field and keeping tabs on industry hiring trends and news
Job requirements - Recruitment Consultant For this Recruitment Consultant role, we are looking for: - Evidence of having worked in a busy client-centric environment - we are ideally looking for someone who has prior experience within sales and has evidence of hitting and exceeding targets.
- A passion for sales – we are looking for driven individuals who are motivated by targets, commission and excelling in a goal-driven role.
- Commercial maturity - this role is heavily consultative. You will be working with candidates and helping them navigate the job market!
- Top organisational skills - you will be supporting a team of busy Consultants who will brief you on up to 12 roles at any one time.
- A positive mindset and self-motivation – you’ll need to be competitive and money-motivated, whilst being able to bounce back and adapt to rejections.
- Excellent time management and a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills - the ability to adapt and cope well with unexpected problems, to work through issues and around any objection.
- High level of empathy - showing empathy creates great relationships - showing you understand their unique challenges and perspectives.
Benefits of the job - Recruitment Consultant - A starting salary of £27,000 + commission, rising to £28,000 + commission after probation pass
- Hybrid working model; we will ensure you get set up with your own company laptop when you are required to work from home. You will work from home on Mondays & Fridays but will be required to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
