Job description - PR Account Executive 
As a PR Account Executive, no two days will look the same and you'll receive full training from the senior team to ensure that you can truly thrive in your role.
 
You will predominantly support the climate & sustainability clients, to whom they provide services including strategy development, media and influencer relations, speaker and awards programs, crisis and issues management, events management and content creation.
 
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a variety of exciting and progressive climate technology companies, including within cultivated meat, carbon removals and bio-manufacturing.
 
Key responsibilities - PR Account Executive  
In this PR Account Executive job, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Taking responsibility for media monitoring; staying up-to-date with industry trends and news and circulating information internally and to clients.
  • Attending client meetings, maintaining up-to-date client reporting and developing media coverage and evaluation reports.
  • Take responsibility for the timely, effective and efficient organisation and administration of PR activity, ensuring client and team deadlines are met.
  • Researching, compiling and maintaining media contact lists.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with the media.
  • Develop solid writing skills e.g. press releases, backgrounders, case studies, speaker information, emails to clients and basic correspondence.
  • Attending industry networking events and media briefings to gain an understanding of publications and what they look for in a story/feature.
  • Building relationships and liaising with clients on a day-to-day basis to progress activity.
  • Getting involved with ad-hoc projects and responsibilities when & where support is needed, and maintaining fantastic administrative control.
 
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of the climate, tech and media environments.
  • Computer literate.
 
Job requirements - PR Account Executive  
For this Graduate PR Executive job, we are looking for:
  • A 2.1 or above from university, ideally in Journalism, Public Relations, or a related subject.
  • Some form of prior office experience.
  • PR experience is not necessary, however, agency internships and work experience are highly beneficial.
  • You must have a clear, researched, and demonstrable interest in Communications / Public Relations and a desire to pursue a long-term career in this industry.
  • Someone who has shown clear drive and ambition throughout their studies, such as involvement in societies, volunteering, part-time work, positions of responsibility, and extra projects.
  • An interest in technology, sustainability & climate, and developments within the industry is a must! 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - your spelling and grammar will be exemplary.
  • Great eye for detail and a self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
  • A team player who is able to effectively communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
