Job description – Junior Data Engineer
In this remote Graduate Data Engineer job, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring data quality and reliability, ultimately maintaining an efficient and effective data visualisation process for client data projects.
 
You will report to the Product Owner, and work to build data pipelines to ensure relevant data is readily available, accurate, and in the correct format.

Key responsibilities – Junior Data Engineer
In this Data Analyst job, your responsibilities will include:
  • Building and maintaining accurate data pipelines to ensure relevant data is readily available for the analyst team.
  • Taking responsibility for implementing data collection systems and data integration processes.
  • Processing and transforming data into required formats.
  • Implementing data validation checks, monitoring data pipelines for errors or anomalies, and proactively resolving any data issues that may arise.
  • Utilising SQL, PowerBI, & Fabric alongside Excel for data visualisation.
  • Optimising databases to ensure efficient data management and processing.
  • Supporting the wider Analysis & Product team with ad-hoc data projects.
Job requirements – Junior Data Engineer
  • A driven graduate with a relevant technical degree background (e.g. STEM subjects; Business, Economics – a course with plenty of data work, especially in data visualisation).
  • Professional experience in a data-driven role is highly beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel (advanced functions such as SUMIF, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Substantial exposure to SQL; Experience with PowerBI & Fabric highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven capabilities in data collection, organisation, database management & optimisation, and data visualisation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
