Job description – IT Support Analyst (LINUX)
In this IT Support Analyst job in London, you will be gaining valuable experience within the busy IT department. Your main focus will be supporting key stakeholders with Linux operating systems.
 
A major part of this role will be providing technical assistance and support to end-users on Linux-based systems. You will enjoy problem-solving and troubleshooting in this role, do enable wider teams to do their very best work!
 
This exciting role would be perfect for a technical graduate, with experience using Linux who is eager to gain experience within a burgeoning financial services company.
 
Please note: This role will have early starts on a rotation basis. You will often need to start work at 7am but you will be able to leave by 3pm that day.
 
Key responsibilities -  IT Support Analyst (Linux) 
In this IT Support Analyst job in London, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the running and maintenance of our client’s core platforms.
• Provide first-level support for Linux-based systems, assisting users with hardware, software, and network issues.
• Supporting exchange hours 7am – 6.30pm to provide 1st and 2nd line support for IT infrastructure.
• Manage and respond to queries/tickets sent to the infrastructure team from both internal teams and external clients.
• Maintaining and enhancing the knowledge base of relevant documentation.
• Ensuring process maps are followed to reduce risk.
• Taking charge of process improvement, making sure that processes are streamlined and effective.
• Taking on extra responsibilities as and when required.

 
Job requirements – IT Support Analyst (Linux) 
For this IT Support Analyst job, we are looking for:

• A 2.1 in a Computer related degree. 
• Experience using Linux servers is a must – you may be familiar with RHEL or Ubuntu.
• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator) experience would be a real plus!
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Attention to detail and highly numerate.
• An excellent team player, with the ability to work on your initiative.
• An interest in financial markets and the requirements to operate effectively in a regulatory environment.
