Job description - HR Assistant (Contract)
Please note, this is a fixed-term contract which will run until January 2026.
 
In this HR Coordinator role, you will be involved in taking ownership of the administration of HR activities across the employee lifecycle and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the senior HR manager on wider HR activities and projects.
 
Key responsibilities - HR Administrator (Contract)

  • Supporting internal recruitment projects from start to finish.
  • Assisting in the coordination of onboarding and offboarding for employees, ensuring a smooth, informative and positive process throughout.
  • Involvement in employee review processes.
  • Coordinating internal promotions.
  • Updating and managing the HR database.
  • Holiday and absence management.
  • Administration of maternity, paternity and shared parental leave.
  • Coordinating long service award celebrations.
  • Managing employee survey initiatives.
 
Job requirements - HR Coordinator
In this HR Coordinator job in London, the ideal candidate will have:
  • 1 year+ experience in HR is required for this role - either from a university placement year or experience following studies.
  • Ideally, a degree in a HR-related subject, and/or working towards completion of HR qualifications.
  • Professional exposure to a range of HR activities and procedures, especially employee review processes
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work at pace, prioritising and managing workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Someone who is solution-oriented with a practical, logical and creative approach to problem-solving using good judgement.
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels, maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.
