Job description – Graduate Sales Executive
This Business Development Consultancy are looking for outstanding professionals who are money-motivated and hungry for a successful Sales career.
 
The ideal candidate will enjoy researching and mapping the market, connecting with senior-level decision-makers, building a trusting rapport over the phone by going into deep consultative discussions, and ultimately providing them with specific business development strategies to overcome their challenges.
 
In this Graduate Sales role, you will join either the Delegate Sales team or the Sponsorship Sales team. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be engaging exclusively with the most senior and innovative minds within the HR sphere, a truly fascinating group whose purpose is to drive business performance and growth.
 
You’ll need to build strong relationships with their existing community but, most importantly, bring plenty of fresh faces to their world-class events in London and Geneva.
 
You’ll work closely with the Delegate Sales Manager to get up to speed and gradually work your way up to owning the full sales cycle – from sourcing to closing – through a tried and tested training programme which will give you everything you need to enter the world of business with confidence. Key responsibilities – Graduate Sales Executive
In this Graduate Sales role, you will be responsible for:
  • Engaging with leads already on the database.
  • Sourcing and generation of new leads through cold calling.
  • Researching and identifying industry challenges and trends in the HR and People profession.
  • Market research to identify new contacts to maintain and develop the market-leading database you will be working from.
  • Research and collate trading information on each company we contact.
  • Contacting clients and new business leads by phone to sell and secure new business contracts.
  • Managing client communications leading up to each event.
  • Progressing your knowledge of, and relationships with, each market you are personally responsible for to increase year-on-year attendance and identify new event opportunities.
  • Eventually managing end-to-end sales cycles independently, with hands-on support and training from your manager. 
  • Working with the Delegate Acquisition, Production, Marketing, and Event Management teams on the continuous improvement of our events. 
Job requirements – Graduate Sales Executive
  • Someone who is driven by a genuine desire for commercial success and is motivated by performance-related earnings.
  • Previous experience in sales is highly beneficial, but not mandatory (great training available!).
  • A real team player – there’s no room for egos here, we succeed together.
  • An exquisite communicator (oral and written). 
  • You must be able to handle pressure – a salesfloor demands results and high output.
  • Someone who thrives in a diverse, high-performing, and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to connect with senior, successful business leaders and owners, and to present concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Confident, motivated, and target driven.
  • Ability to have consultative conversations, ask questions and “actively listen”.
  • Enthusiasm and energy to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic with the passion and drive to learn and progress.
