They are responsible for supplying all the UK major supermarkets and are recognised for their sustainability efforts.

Job description – Graduate Buyer
In this Graduate Buyer job in Reigate, you will be joining a small, supportive team, working on all activities relating to sourcing individual products.

You will be working very closely with the Operations, Sales and Product teams (as well as with suppliers) to develop and maintain positive working relationships, and ensure that all product-buying operations run smoothly.

To succeed in this role, you will need a genuine passion for FMCG buying, whilst being organised and process-driven.

Key responsibilities -  Graduate Buyer
In this Graduate Buyer job in Surrey, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain commercial relationships with all existing and new suppliers.
• Maintain expert knowledge of assigned product groups including raw material pricing and availability, economic factors, supply chain security issues.
• Manage supplier contracts to ensure the timely delivery of products to meet business needs.
• Work closely with Operations team to facilitate shipment of contracts.
• Keeping a constant check on stock levels, maintaining sufficient stock cover at all times.
• Assist with the tender submissions.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed such as writing contracts for both supplier and customers, and customer price and volume requests.
• Support the Technical team on supplier quality issues and quality monitoring, assisting them to communicate with the supplier site to resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical, and suppliers regarding New Product Development.
• Research the market and/or new markets as required in order to extend and improve the company’s product ranges.

Job requirements – Graduate Buyer
 

• 2.1 or above in a relevant degree.
• An interest in FMCGs and the food industry
• Preference for a second language in Spanish or French.
• Some commercial experience, or internship experience in a buying/product-focused position
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal). 
• Ability to prioritise, multi task and meet deadlines.
• Analytical and process-driven with strong numerical skills
