The role, while initially a support role, will be expected to lead into an implementation consultancy role over time. The role will initially provide full-time support to a number of Absolute EPM existing customers while also completing your required Oracle EPM certifications and other training requirements.
Due to some of the customer's requirements, some of this will be located onsite at the customer's offices (this will mostly be London or Gloucestershire) with remote working where other customers allow.
Job description – Financial Management Software Consultant
The Financial Management Consultant will support the Oracle EPM Cloud systems for a number of Absolute EPM's customers. This includes support in the use, design, development, configuration and testing of the implemented solutions.
The consultant will provide support in maximising the value of Oracle EPM Cloud by identifying and recommending functional and technological solutions to improve business processes, enhance Planning, Budgeting, Management Reporting and Financial Management functionality, and meet internal and external reporting requirements while providing production and end-user support.
As your role grows, you will gain exposure to all EPM products and form part of the Absolute EPM consulting team, engaging with a wide range of customers all over the UK.
All training on the Oracle software will be provided by Absolute EPM.
Key responsibilities – Financial Management Software Consultant
In this Finance Software Consultant role, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the Oracle EPM Applications operate to meet the end customers’ Functional objectives, including support, maintenance, testing, and developing functional/technical specifications.
- Administering/configuring Oracle EPM with a specific focus on Oracle PBCS initially.
- Building and maintaining Dimension Outlines, Business Rules, Dimension Builds, Data Loads and Batch Automation Scripts.
- Managing and monitoring the Oracle ERP Fusion load process (ad hoc requests and nightly scheduled loads), data validation, and addressing load issues.
- Overseeing master data management and governance for Oracle EPM.
- Ensuring application compliance with policies, procedures, and the change control process.
- Providing primary support in the development, testing, and maintenance of reports and dashboards utilising ad-hoc queries, Smart View, Financial Reporting reports requested by users, and other tools as required.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to support.
Job requirements - Financial Management Software Consultant
For this Finance Software Consultant role, the following requirements are beneficial, but not all essential.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance or Business.
- Have an early career in Management Accounting, Financial Management, or Financial Analysis.
- Exposure to finance processes (Reporting, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting).
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Finance experience with a focus on Excel/Model creation/maintenance would be a strong advantage.
- Experience of Cloud-based ERP would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Applications would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Personal Skills
- Have a good understanding of Financial Management, Accountancy and Financial Analysis.
- Ability to learn new evolving technologies quickly and to understand potential business use cases.

Must-have qualifications
- You must be willing to take a drug test, following local law/regulations.

- You must be comfortable working in an onsite setting.
- You must be willing to undergo a background check, including Criminal Records Checks and enhanced security vetting (requiring UK Nationality and residency for the last 7+ years).
- You must have to right to work in the UK (Proof will be requested at the assessment stage).
- You must be comfortable commuting to the locations the role requires.
