Job description - Finance Analyst
As a Finance Analyst at luxury homeware and clothing brand ABASK, you will work as part of the Finance team. ABASK is a young fast paced start-up company growing rapidly that would suit someone entrepreneurial. The current team size is 40, and you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and be in close collaboration with department heads. The Finance Analyst will assist the Senior Finance Manager in delivering the following:
Key responsibilities - Finance Analyst
· Month-end and preparation of the Management Accounts and weekly reporting.
· Reconciling key cost lines e.g. freight and duty with DHL Invoices.
· Helping with Budget and forecasting preparation.
· Weekly Sales Reconciliation between Global-e and Shopify.
· Regularly updating the cash flow and reconciling this with the bank statement.
· Collaborating with the external invoice team on accounts payable.
· Key KPI analysis e.g. Customer analysis, Margin reporting, Country analysis etc.
· Liaising with the Client Services team over returns and B2B sales.
· Ensure financial reporting and analysis delivers actionable commercial insight that is communicated to senior management and delivered upon.
· Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Job requirements - Graduate Finance Analyst
For this Junior Finance Analyst job, ABASK are looking for:
· Recent Graduate with a relevant degree.
· Has begun or has a desire to become a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) - ABASK offers a study package for a financial qualification.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and operate at both a strategic and transactional level.
· Mature, disciplined, high degree of integrity and work ethic, self-motivated, independent.
· Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent numeracy skills and good retail outlook.
· Ability to present complex financial information to non-finance departments and colleagues.
· Proficiency in Microsoft systems such as Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to learn new IT systems and processes.
