Job description – Finance Analyst job in LondonIn this Graduate Finance Analyst role in London, we are currently seeking an ambitious and hardworking individual to join the London office of an Energy Trading firm with a global presence.
In this role, your responsibilities will be varied but you’ll be working directly within the treasury team and also collaborating closely with the trade finance and accounting teams to ensure the smooth working of the wider finance division.
This will be an excellent opportunity to work alongside and be trained by experienced industry leaders and gain exposure to several different facets of the financial operations of a global firm. Take a look at the full responsibilities below:
Key responsibilities - Graduate Finance AnalystIn this Treasury Analyst role in London, your responsibilities will include: - Daily bank reconciliation & SAP booking of all payments, receivables, loans, discounting and any other cash movements independently based on proper supporting documents.
- Produce all company payment documents and bank notices in SAP.
- Payment check procedure: make sure compliant SSI records, correct bank details, and no duplicate payments.
- Record daily FX transactions and update the FX sheet and produce payment documents accordingly.
- Record daily Margin call movement, and produce payment documents accordingly.
- Monitor inwards/outwards payment/receipt with banks, make sure daily closing balance is in line with required policy.
- Monthly bank statement and check month-end SAP cash balance agreed to the bank statement. Investigating and reporting variances to the line manager.
- Conduct ad hoc monthly treasury analysis.
Job requirements - Finance AnalystIn this Finance Analyst opportunity we're looking for a candidate with: - A 2:1 or above from University (Ideally Accounting, Finance, Economics, Maths or related).
- Some prior commercial experience in a finance, analytics or numerical-driven role.
- Great analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Comfortable with data handling and working with SAP and CRM software.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- The right to work in the UK.
