Job description - Events Sales Executive
In this Speaker Acquisition graduate job, you will be responsible for sourcing and securing industry-leading speakers to participate in this firm’s conferences.
 
You will be forming and nurturing relationships with key communications and PR teams within the sectors they operate in, as well as screening inbound speaking applications.
 
You will be working alongside Sector Directors and other senior members of the Production team, executing the speaker acquisition strategy during the project lifecycle.
 
Key responsibilities  - Events Sales Executive
In this Graduate Event Sales Executive job, your responsibilities will include:
  • Finding, inviting, and confirming industry-leading speakers (Head of, Director, C-suite level) for conferences.
  • Forming and nurturing relationships with key communications and PR teams.
  • Hitting weekly KPIs for invitation outreach (volume) and number of speakers confirmed.
  • Travelling abroad to help deliver conferences where needed (EU + USA).
  • Supporting the digital media team where needed on speaker acquisition.
  • Collaborating with other teams internally, such as the VIP team and marketing team, on speaker community engagement.
  • Working closely with the Event Operations team to ensure thorough onboarding of your speakers.
  • Helping to run speaker briefing calls ahead of the show taking place.
 
Job requirements - Events Sales Executive
For this Graduate Conference Sales Executive job, we are looking for:
  • A degree from a university.
  • KPI-driven individual – track record of hitting weekly targets.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills (a keen networker).
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Able to take ownership of projects from the get-go.
  • Able to grasp strategic concepts and topics quickly in commercial industries.
  • Motivated by a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work under pressure.

  • A basic salary of £27,000 plus bonus structure (OTE £32,000 +).
  • International travel 2-3 times a year.
