Job description – Credit Controller In this Finance Assistant role in London, you will work closely with the wider finance team to manage the settlement of client invoices as well as payments due to clients from HMRC, amongst other responsibilities.
You’ll be interacting with clients as well as other internal teams, so strong communication skills are a must!
Key responsibilities - Credit Controller In this Finance Executive role, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Making sure that invoices are paid in full and on time by being proactive with communication and forming good relationships with our clients.
- Following up on any outstanding debt by telephone and email, resolving any disputes or queries, and negotiating with the client to ensure payment is received.
- Liaising with teams in the business to resolve outstanding queries and issues with payments, as well as contacting HMRC to assist with this.
- Reviewing our records to identify possible invoicing opportunities.
- Maintaining notes on our client database.
- Assisting the finance team with client invoicing.
- Managing payments when they come in, reconciling them on Xero.
Job requirements - Credit Controller - 2:1 from university or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in credit control is essential.
- Confident, assertive, and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
