The Role - Junior Support Engineer
You'll be the person hospital IT teams reach out to when something's not working, a change request is needed, whether that's a glitchy device, a system fault or a "why isn't this talking to that" kind of problem. You'll sit within a combined support and implementation team, working alongside project managers and integration specialists.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with a share of an on-call roster covering nights and weekends (with additional remuneration). You'll learn by doing, shadowing the team and getting stuck into real tickets from day one.
Job responsibilities - Junior Support Engineer
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues for hospital IT teams and clinical staff
- Remotely accessing hospital systems to track down and fix faults
- Keeping an eye on alerts and escalating P1s fast
- Participating in an on-call roster covering nights and weekends
- Building product knowledge to support future progression into implementation or product roles
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, technical background or graduated with a IT degree
- A professional, calm approach when dealing with high-pressure or urgent situations
- Comfortable working some evenings and weekends as part of a rostered on-call system
- Great communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn
