Job description - Junior Hardware Technician
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Hardware Technician to join the team in Melbourne. 
In this role, you'll learn how to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of electronic devices- including point-of-sale equipment and transport ticketing systems. 
If you have a basic understanding of electronics and enjoy tinkering with devices, full training will be provided to get you up to speed with the company's systems and tools. 
 
Key Responsibilities - Junior Hardware Technician
In this hands-on Junior Hardware Technician role, you'll: 
  • Carry out repairs and component replacements using the right tools and testing equipment (training provided) 
  • Learn to troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and mechanical issues to identify root causes 
  • Conduct routine servicing, calibration, and preventative maintenance 
  • Develop your soldering and diagnostic skills across a range of equipment 
  • Gain experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and other testing tools 
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports using the internal CMS 
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to deliver timely and effective repairs 
 
Job requirements - Junior Hardware Technician
  • Curious about how things work and enjoy hands-on problem solving 
  • Some experience (through study, projects, or part-time work) repairing or maintaining electronic equipment is an advantage, but not essential - full training provided 
  • Able to read and learn from technical documentation, schematics, and circuit diagrams 
  • Detail-oriented with good time management and organisational skills 
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude 
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, workshop-based environment 
  • Familiarity with multimeters, soldering tools, or other diagnostic equipment is a plus
