Job Description & Key Responsibilities - Mobile Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Build, improve and maintain mobile SDKs and identity verification applications across native and cross-platform technologies.
- Develop new product features in collaboration with Product, Design and Engineering teams.
- Work with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver new capabilities and improve the end-user experience.
- Optimise mobile onboarding and verification journeys for performance and usability.
- Troubleshoot customer issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tooling.
- Write clear, high-quality technical documentation for SDKs and APIs.
- Take ownership of projects while contributing across the wider engineering stack where required.
- A 2:1 or above from a top university in a Computer Science or related degree.
- Experience building mobile applications or software development kits (SDKs) is highly beneficial.
- Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working with some combination of iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, AWS or MongoDB.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools within modern engineering workflows.
- Product-focused mindset with the ability to adapt quickly across different technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to take ownership within a collaborative engineering team.
- Competitive starting salary of £40,000 - £45,000.
