I’m an Associate Director at Give a Grad a Go, working primarily on graduate jobs in the medical and healthcare sectors, as well as with the odd FMCG client!
My area of expertise
Through my time at Give a Grad a Go so far, I have had the opportunity to work on many roles in a variety of sectors. But because of my scientific background, I enjoy working on the graduate jobs that we have on in the MedTech and HealthTech sectors.
Why I chose to work at Give a Grad a Go
I initially used Give a Grad a Go to help me find a job. I got to the final stages of lots of jobs, but nothing was quite the right fit for me. When I came in to talk to some of the Consultants here, one of them suggested that I come and interview here! I hadn’t considered graduate jobs in recruitment before, but upon careful consideration, I thought that it would be an excellent chance for me to develop myself, as well as help out graduates who are going through exactly what I was.
The worst job I’ve had
I wouldn’t say that I have had any really terrible jobs thankfully! However, there have certainly been some tough moments that have not been too much fun. The closest I have come to quitting is when I worked on a sheep farm in Australia. It was the middle of summer, about 40 degrees and we were working in the wool shed. The roof was corrugated iron and only made it hotter – after a few hours of hard physical work I had definitely had enough!
