Looking for Project Coordinator jobs, or Project Manager positions in Melbourne? 

Join Directitude, a commercial construction fit-out company based in Sunbury, Victoria.

Reporting to the General Manager the position of Project Coordinator will be required to work 40 hours per week, plus reasonable hours above to complete position requirements. General officer hours are from 7.30am – 5:00pm Mon to Friday with 1 hours break.

 

Purpose -  Project Coordinator

To support the Project Manager with estimating, project procurement, and services trades coordination in line with project deliverables.

 

Responsibilities - Project Coordinator

  • Vet / Pre-qualify Contractors
  • Assist with breakdown scope into packages and obtain quote for tenders
  • Enter quotation from Suppliers / Contractors into Construction Management Software
  • Compare/review supplier quotations to value management
  • Coordinate RFIs 
  • Assist with drafting client letters of engagement
  • Raise and issues Purchase Orders/Contracts to suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Review supplier/trade invoices in line with Purchase Orders/ Contracts and approve in Construction Management Software as required
  • Coordinate procurement of equipment, materials & trade works in line with the programme
  • Create / update; Document Registers, Schedules and Technical Data Reports as required
  • Liaise with Council and Authorities in relation to permits and applications
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • Manage meeting minutes and agendas
  • File project documentation electronically and manually (in line with Project Filing Protocol) including entering into Construction Management Software, superseding old issues, and update transmittals
  • Assist with developing project programmes
  • Coordinate site documentation including Permits, Traffic Management Site Establishment and WHS requirements; 
  • Produce and coordinate Dilapidation Reports, Weekly Client Progress Reports, Variations, Defect Registers, and Project Completion Lists
  • Produce handover manuals on completion of projects
  • Attend internal PPM weekly
  • Ad hoc task as required
  • Follow and uphold the Company Values

 

Skills and experience - Project Coordinator

  • Diploma or Studying towards a Degree in Building & Construction (or Equivalent)
  • Experience in commercial office environment
  • Construction Induction Certificate
  • Attention to details (essential)
  • Experience in Estimating and breaking packages (ideal)
  • Microsoft Office Software
  • Experience reading and understanding architectural, consultant and shop drawings
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Team player
  • Ability to follow instruction
  • Passion for committing to producing quality outcomes
  • Ability to work independently & use initiative
  • Experience with Mac Computers (beneficial but not essential)
  • Willing to travel
