Job description - Medical Information Specialist
In this Medical Information Specialist opportunity in Barnstable, you will be involved with working with the pharmacovigilance team to aid with collaboration, compliance and completion of tasks in an accurate manner. 

Key responsibilities - Medical Information Specialist
In this Medical Information Specialist role in Barnstable your tasks will involve
  • Work within the PV team to ensure collaboration, compliance and completion of pharmacovigilance activities in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date medical information to clients and the public via telephone and email
  • Assess, record and process solicited data ensuring compliance with Pharmacovigilance requirements and reporting timelines
  • Liaise with key partners to draft and co-ordinate safety data exchange agreements to ensure both parties reach a timely and compliant agreement as required
  • Liaise with key partners and other stakeholders/third parties regarding safety data collection and data reconciliation
  • Contribute to the preparation and review and update of standard operating systems relating to pharmacovigilance operations and clinical safety
  • Involvement with all day-to-day Drug Safety activities as required, including quality review

Job requirements - Medical Information Specialist
  • A BSc in Medicine, Health, or life science degree – will really help you get to grips with core competencies the role requires
  • Awareness of benefit risk assessment strategy in patient safety
  • Ability to analyse and appraise clinical, biomedical, and scientific reports in a systematic, accurate, fair, and balanced way
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under own autonomy and take initiative and ownership of ones work
  • A growth mindset, and keen to learn new skills
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to keep many plates spinning at once
