Thornbridge is a fast-growing boutique financial services firm based in the City of London. The firm was launched in March 2015 to provide regulatory hosting and fund management services to small and medium sized businesses. The team works with a wide range of clients including fund advisors, investment advisors, wealth managers, corporate finance firms and those undertaking marketing and distribution.
Role Overview
The Junior Analyst will work across the Investment Fund Services function, gaining broad exposure to middle and back-office operations. This is a varied role suited to someone eager to learn, with responsibilities spanning reconciliations, trade compliance, due diligence, and management information (MI) reporting across the funds and portfolios we manage. The role offers strong potential for professional growth and development within fund operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily and periodic reconciliation processes across cash, positions, and transactions, investigating and resolving breaks in a timely manner
• Support pre-trade and post-trade compliance monitoring, including checking trades against investment guidelines, restrictions, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to due diligence exercises on counterparties, service providers, and new business onboarding
• Produce and maintain regular MI reports on the funds and portfolios managed by the firm, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Support middle and back-office functions including trade support, settlements, and corporate actions processing
• Liaise with custodians, administrators, prime brokers, and other third parties to resolve queries
• Assist with the maintenance and improvement of operational processes, procedures, and controls
• Support ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives across the wider Investment Fund Services function
Skills & Experience
• A recent graduate with a 2:1.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other MS Office applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• A genuine interest in financial markets, fund operations, and asset servicing
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Desirable
• Prior internship or work experience within financial services, fund administration, or asset management
• Awareness of regulatory frameworks relevant to fund operations (e.g. UCITS, MIFID, EMIR)
• Interest in pursuing a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CISI)
